November Events for Penn State Alumni in the Lehigh Valley Area

On November 28, 2017, Penn State Lehigh Valley will participate in #GivingTuesday—a national day to celebrate the power of giving back. Across the University, one-day-only fundraising challenges will be held to generate momentum within colleges and campuses. This year we have a special opportunity available—gifts of $10 or more from graduates of the last decade will unlock a $100 contribution from Penn State!

Your gift matters! Donations collected during #GivingTuesday benefit the Penn State Lehigh Valley scholarship fund. About 60% of our students receive financial aid—and the need is constantly growing.

Through celebrating philanthropy—at our University and beyond—#GivingTuesday at Penn State Lehigh Valley will be an opportunity for our students, faculty, alumni, parents, friends, and fans to show the world that Penn State Lehigh Valley has heart. By making a gift, you can show our current students just how much you believe in them.

Raise your voice. Give back on #GivingTuesday.

The last three games of the regular season are all NOON games.

The Holiday Hope Chest Project is a service project coordinated by the Volunteer Center of the LV.   We are calling on our local alumni base to help fill  50 holiday hope chests for local children in need .  A holiday hope chest is simply a shoe box that is wrapped in holiday paper and filled with small goodies (Matchbox cars, card games, dolls, craft kits, etc.) for young children and then donated to a local non-profit organization to distribute.
Our “wrapping party” will be on campus on 11/29 at 6pm.  At this time we will bring in collected items and fill and wrap the boxes.
Please consider joining in on this worthy project!  This would be a GREAT opportunity to bring in your “lion cubs” to help out and bring cheer to the kids who need it most!

We hope to see YOU soon!
